No, no, no, no, NO! NOT A VIRUS!

NOOOOO!

Sigh. Sigh. SIGH (in case you didn't hear it the first two times)... Can I just say that really, when it comes to computers, I'm so illiterate. I'm actually quite proud of my self for figuring out this whole blog thing. And while I'm over here in my own little world, blogging about IMPORTANT stuff such as WORSHIP, and I'm trying to figure out how in the world smart people like Lauren and Carol and Shannon and Faith and... and... and so many others ... (except ME of course) KNOW how to do stuff (like LINK A STINKING SONG ONTO YOUR BLOG)... I go and get hit with a virus. Not just any virus... an Indie Virus. THANKS.A.TON.LAUREN! (she says through clenched teeth)

Okay ... Lauren has seen fit to hit me with a virus ... so, I'm copying and pasting this paragraph out of her blog, because I'm told to do so, and at least I can follow directions, even if I can't "understand it all" ...

Pearsonified has started a small, casual social experiment, it’s called “The Indie Virus.” Here’s how Pearsonified describes this experiment:

The experiment, henceforth referred to as “The Indie Virus,” has two goals:
* To bring exposure to lesser known blogs (especially those outside of Technorati’s top 100)
* To explore the metrics behind a viral linking campaign launched by the “little guys” (less popular blogs)

Uhhh ... what is a trackback? Did I do it right?

And... my TRUE feelings about all this has been posted in a comment over at Carol's site. 'Nuff complaining...

Now, I'm going to infect none other than...MomRN2 with My Quiet Corner (because I have a feeling she's as clueless as me, and if I can't laugh at myself, I'll laugh with someone else!), and Faith at Faithful Mommy, because evidently ... she got a little to flippant over at Lauren's blog when she said that she "feels there are some viruses worth getting and she hopes it works," so she can find out first hand... and Kris with Flip Flops, because I love, love, love her blog template (have I mentioned my problem with Jealousy before?) ... and Heather at The Roller Coaster Ride of My Life because she's so adorable, and KPJara at Can You Hear Me Now because I'm just feeling plain evil right now.

So, there you go, people... virus passed on. And, I hope I did it right. And I haven't run spell check, because frankly, I just don't care right now. I'm too annoyed. LAUREN. Nanny, nanny, boo-boo.

I think the point of this is web traffic. You link back to the originator (er?) So he gets more traffic. People follow links from him, we get more traffic. Get it? If not I'll hit you over the head with my ironing board. :-)

Can I just say that I'm a little annoyed, because I just typed this huge long comment and blogger ate it... ON MY OWN BLOG! HOW RUDE!

Jeana -- you can beam me with your ironing board... I think that might just get the message across... and... can I keep it? Doesn't a major injury require a gift from the injury causer? Yes, I think it does...

Kate and Janice -- Thank you so much for commenting... Now I have two new blogs to devour tomorrow! Yeah! And, Janice... thank you for sharing some of your story. I will be praying for you. AND -- I am a WOMAN OF MY WORD.

Stacey and Praying For Your Prodigal -- I did not DARE to send this virus your way, because you are too new to my blog, and frankly, I don't think I can afford to loose another friend to this virus. Think how sad that would be!

Chilihead, my Chilihead... you just don't know how much YOU make me laugh! And, hey ... feel free to laugh AT me any time... I'm just THAT secure in my self!

And, did anyone notice a very dear name that I purposly left OFF of my list? How astute of you... that would be Shannon from Rocks in My Dryer. Why, you might ask? Well because she's so stinking famous... she gets like 30 gazillion comments a day, and honestly, she rocks as a blogostar.

Shannon -- can I have your blogograph?

And, who was the bright one that put Lauren and Carol on this list? Do you realize that they are blogostars too?

So, I guess I need to start my own blogograph book for my blogstar friends! I'm so proud of them!

I wouldn't know how to fend off said virus either, not that I've been exposed. Your outraged indignation was a hoot GiBee. Secretly, once you figured it out . . . I'm sure it wasn't nearly as bad as rotovirus!

GiBee.. your reason for giving ME this virus..."because I have a feeling she's as clueless as me, and if I can't laugh at myself, I'll laugh with someone else."

I laughed out loud when I read this, rolling on the floor, can't breath... hey wait... I don't know if that's really that funny. Being blog clueless... :-) I laughed ONLY because it was SO true. You truly have me figured out.

I started to try and figure out how to do this. Then had to break for some family time. Will try to get it going... sometime before next year. Let's see... hmmm... do what? how? why? when? thoughts and confusion fading into the night... tee hee hee...

I got the virus, too. But the reason Kris with Flip Flops spread it to me was so cute, I had to pass it along. It was a kind of neat way to show my "appreciation" for a few people.

I read the background on it, too. Actually intersting material for me. I'm intrigued by how quickly people are connected through the 'net.

No, I don't usually forward ANYTHING, either. ;)

Hi Gibee,

I emailed you on Tuesday. Here is what I wrote:

Send me a picture of what you have in mind. I am still fairly basic with my handbag sewing skills and a picture (and measurements) would help me to know if I could do it.

As far as special orders, sure i can do it! I have fabric coming in the mail and I have "madeline" fabric in that order--let me know if you would like one. That bag seems to be the most popular! But if you would rather go with the lime green/polka dot theme, that will work too. In fact i saw some lime green polka dots yesterday!

Talk to you soon and thanks for the link--I am going to check it out now!

--It is odd that you didn't get the response because i sent it on "reply". I am looking forward to getting your picture of the diaper bag!

--I am not sure that I understand this little virus-thing, can you tell me what is supposed to happen?

Lauren -- WHAT?! Are you SERIOUS? Oh, you are always welcome in Sunshineland! ALWAYS!

Peach -- you are right... I ended up secretly enjoying it. Still am.

MomRN2 -- We are too much alike, you and I... I just keep plugging away... and eventually, I stumble myself to where I need to be.

Randi -- WHAT? I didn't get your email! How awful! I'll send you info later... And... I think I'm starting to put my arms around this virus thing myself... Just copy the paragraph from any of our blogs about Pearsonifide and the Indie Virus. I think you then link back to my page and his page and then, you infect a couple more people... the "littles" -- you know... ones that don't get a lot of commenters or hits to their blogs ... or ... one's you want to irritate (teehee) Sorry -- you can't re-infect. I'm immune!

Did that help? If not... perhaps you can jump over to Faithful Mommy or Flip Flops or Heather at Roller Coaster... just click on the links in my virus post. They are all much more eloquent than I am.
