No, I'm not dead! But I feel like it!

So ... have you been wondering what I've been doing lately?

C'mon ... I know you have ...

Well ... allow me to share.

1) Internet at home was out for an entire week.

2) Wireless connection fried. Sob!

3) Hunter sick with virus ... not just one, but two.

4) Upset stomach, diareah, cough, sneeze, runny nose ... sounds like a commercial for ... well, a wacked out cough/cold/tummy thing. Ha! Four solid days. Nice.

5) Up all night with child screaming out of discomfort. Great!

6) Mom's swamped at work writing a twelve page Construction Economy Newsletter and issuing it. Blech.

7) Basically -- Mom and Dad are exhausted. No menu done. No groceries in house. Thank goodness we have bulk toilet paper.

Have a great evening ... see you on the flip side.

There is a flip side, right? Someone tell me there's a flip side.

Ok.....there's a flip side.

Hope your life calms down a little bit, well actually, a lot, very soon.

Awww GiBee, I just hate when Hunter is sick and you get swamped with life. I wish I was your neighbor so I could help you find the flipside. I'll pray for things to flip! Love ya!

Of course there's a flip side! I see it daily when I totally flip out!

Hope Hunter's better soon!

There IS a flip side but I suspect you have a hard time believing that right about now. What a week. Poor you. A sick child is awful. But no internet for a week? Poor you.

Oh GiBee, I'm so sorry... Weeks like that always make me want to pack my bags and go far, far away for an undefined amount of time. There is a flip-side, even though it's hard to see when you're knee-deep in the muckiness of a rough week. Hang in there...

I did miss you actually, thought of you today! I'm sorry everything has not been sunshine in your part of the world recently.

There is a flipside - there's joy in the morning! Get some rest honey

Gibee I've missed your smiling "face". When it rains it pours doesn't it. I will pray for you and your family. Laura

Oh, my. Sounds to me like you're having one of those non-tasty slices of life right now. Keep eating - it's going to get better.

Praying you see the flip side and quick! Sorry for your little guy. Praying that he's over that real quick and for some much needed rest for your family.

God is still with you.17 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.

OUCHHH! I totally just hit my head trying to do the 'flip' in the flip side! You didn't mean that literally?

I hope the world slows down a bit for you real soon!

Morning Glory ... thank you! I hope life calms down soon, too! I haven't had a chance to read all my beloved blogs in AGES!

Lauren ... well, you've said you want to move somewhere warmer ... I live in a warmer state ... how's about moving next to me?

Jeana -- I really feel like I'm flipping out daily too! Ugh!

Barb -- it was like pure torture... but even worse ... we have internet now, but I can't log on with my lap top because our wireless is down. Pooh!

Katrina -- my bags are packed. I'm just too tired to pick them up! I always smile when I see your little caterpillar! Have I ever mentioned how much I love the name Katrina?

Tess -- you did not! Did you? Awe -- that's just so sweet! Thank you! And, I charge a fee each time someone quotes "my" scripture, little missy!

Laura -- prayers are a good thing -- and greatly appreciated!

Sheri -- thanks! And, Hi! Welcome aboard "my life!" Hope you stay a while.

Peach -- you are such a doll! And you are a natural encourager! Thank you!

Carol -- I'm full right now, but thanks for the invitation to keep eating. I think I'll pass... Ugh!

Susanne -- Thanks for the prayers, friend!!!! We appreciate them!

Janice -- it's a dominoe affect! When one is sick ... all are sick. And tired. Fortunately, we're not sick and tired of each other!

kidslovevacations -- thank you! I love that scripture -- really that whole book -- so much! Thank you for the reminder!

FlipFlop -- A calm life would be great, but there are many things on the horizon for us! Ugh!

KIM!!! Tall people shouldn't be doing flips, girl!!! Good grief. Get some ice on that head of yours! Leave the flipping to someone who is heigh-challenged -- like Shalee! Heavens!

Angie -- really, I don't want to crawl under my covers -- but I'd love to crawl into a new handbag -- will that work?

Jenn -- the life part isn't going to calm down any time soon! But the silver lining is ... Hunter WILL get better soon! PTL!

Laurel Wreath -- TP is a very good think indeed!

Heather -- we're going to leave Hunter in your capable care this weekend while my hubby and I slip out of town for a night. You can handle him, right? He's only puking now. The diareah is gone. Oh, yeah. He's still got a runny nose and he's coughing and sneezing -- but that' not too big of a deal, is it?

Momrn2 -- prayers, prayers, prayers. That's what we need right now!!! Thank you!

Yes, dear heart, there is a flip side. I know you can't see it now, though, after the week you have had. I remember vividly one night with two babies who had stomach viruses, every sheet in the house was filthy, I was sitting in a rocking chair holding both of them, with tears streaming down my face, thinking this is how the rest of my life is going to be...oh my word!
Now, I look back and wonder where those baby days went, and still miss those snuggly rocking chair moments.
only without the stomach virus part. or the dirty laundry part. or the 2:30 in the morning part.
