As His Mercy Falls...

I hate to keep dragging out my sad feelings here on this blog, and I know this song has been shared ad nauseam ... but ... I heard it on the way to work today, and it just spoke straight to my heart, and I hope that if anyone out there reading my blog is also going through a difficult storm in your life, that you take these words to heart ... as a comforting balm of mercy from heaven raining down on you. In the mean time, I will continue to raise my hands and praise the God who gives, and takes away -- because I know he is with me, and with you, too.

I'll Praise You In The Storm
Casting Crowns

I was sure by now that You would have reached down and wiped our tears away, stepped in and saved the day, but once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining … As the thunder rolls, I barely hear Your whisper through the rain, “I’m with you.” And as You mercy falls, I raise my hands and praise the God who gives, and takes away --

I'll praise You in this storm, and I will lift my hands, for You are who You are, no matter where I am. Every tear I've cried, You hold in Your hand, you never left my side, and though my heart is torn, I will praise You in this storm.

I remember when I stumbled in the wind. You heard my cry. You raised me up again. My strength is almost gone, how can I carry on, if I can't find You? As the thunder rolls, I barely hear You whisper through the rain, "I’m with you." And as Your mercy falls, I raise my hands and praise the God who gives, and takes away.

I lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth.

Thank you all for your special words of kindness, phone calls, cards, and especially for your prayers. My heart is hurting, but each day, it will become easier and easier to work through this. Special blessings to each of you!

To my family and church family, thank you for your prayers, love, support, understanding, and special comments some of you've left ... while others may not know who you are, I do, and I so appreciate it!

"From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another." John 1:16

That is an absolutely PERFECT choice! Another that helped me through my angel's loss: Somebody's Praying Me Through and I Will Wait Upon The Lord by Allen Asbury.

(((hugs)))

I love that song. It will always speak to me and I will not ever be tired of it. "Every Little Thing" by Delirious is also very encouraging.
Continued prayers for you and your family in your grief.

You are blessed. As are those whose lives you touch and have the honor to see your faith shining through your tears.

I just found your blog via Everyday Mommy. I'm so sorry for your loss. I've walked that valley 3 times, and I know it is painful. I will pray for you today. The peace of Christ surely passes all understanding.
