Living Proof Ministries

Y'all -- Y'ALL!!! This weekend was the Beth Moore simulcast, and let me tell you -- I have been a Christian for over 25 years... I read and study my Bible, I have a personal and intimate walk with Christ, and I love me some awesome worship ... but this weekend? It was totally amazing on so many levels.

Travis Cottrell (click to read his blog) led worship, and did such an amazing job. One of my favorite songs ... In Christ Alone ... almost brought me to my knees numerous times -- and I would have gone, had it not been for the nagging pain in my gall bladder, hallelujah!! Travis has an amazing voice, but better than that, he is in tune with the Master, and the Holy Spirit was not only present, but was leading, directing, producing and choreographing every move he and his worship team made that weekend. Simply amazing. YOU MUST GET ONE OF HIS CDs. That's all there is to it.

Beth Moore (click to read her blog) has a phenomenal way of presenting scripture ... it doesn't matter if you have been a Christian for the greater part of your life, or for one single nano-second -- she has a talent -- a God-given, Spirit-breathed gift -- for delivering scripture and life lessons in a way that leaves you so ON FIRE for God, his Word, and the blessings he has in store for you, that you can't help but want to shout it from the mountaintops!

Oh, my...

I have goosebumps just THINKING about this weekend, let alone typing about it.

Over 700 churches across the world (over 70,000 people) tuned in to hear from this dynamic duo and their teams. God has truly blessed them.

I just can't wait for our women's retreat this fall ... we are using Beth's "Retreat in a Box" and it is gonna rock!

Praise God that he uses ordinary, humble, spirit-filled men and women to deliver his fire, and the message of His love, compassion, mercy, and grace!

On another note... my sweet Associate Pastorman's wife pointed out something that I had observed during worship, but thought it was just the font the people at LP Ministries chose to use for the worship words... tell me if you noticed it too... they had every single word typed out in lowercase letters with the exception of all words that were names for Jesus... only those were capitalized.

Did you notice that?

So, if you attended the simulcast, what were your thoughts? Let's chat it up a bit... and please ... I know I get over 100 people visiting my blog each day, so I'm asking you to leave a comment when you normally wouldn't!

Sounds very good, Gibee. Can you believe it but I must be one of the only people around who has never heard Beth Moore speak or read one of her books or done one of her studies. I've only heard of her since I started blogging. I'm going to have to remedy this.

My first Beth Moore Bible study was about three years ago, and I was blown away by it. That woman can preach it for sure!

Oh, Gibee, you are so on the mark about Beth Moore and Travis Cottrell. I had goose bumps reading your post and thinking about my own experience watching the simulcast. I prayed that God would speak to me in a profound way, and He didn't disappoint. I felt like the message was written just for me. My desire to hide God's word in my heart has grown so much stronger. I can't wait to start my Community Bible Study next week.

Aloha GiBee,

I found your blog through Top Recommendations from Google Reader. I didn't do the simulcast, but many of my friends on the mainland did. They raved about it.

I wanted to leave you a comment because I had to LAUGH about the comments thing you wrote. My blog gets many hits a day and people drive me nuts by not commenting!!!

I would have loved to have seen that. Years ago at a CBA she walked past me, and I couldn't believe how tiny! she was, and darling.
I just recommend LPM for our church to use for their women's study.

We did the "retreat in a box" 2 years ago for our women's church retreat and it was wonderful!

I went to her conference a few months ago and it was wonderful! So much so that I am now attending the bible study at church that is Beth Moore study.

I am so grateful for Beth Moore. I have taken 7 of her Bible Studies. She has been such an encouragemen to me whether in times of marital crisis or the difficulty of raising an autsitic child, she can point me to the Master like no one else. I am trying to find out how to watch missed sessions of The Psalms of Ascent. If anyone knows, please post the address. Thanks!

Hi! I know you posted this months ago, but since I got a few iTunes gift cards for Christmas I've been music shopping...specifically for some of that Travis Cottrell that was in that Beth Moore simulcast. So, can you recommend a CD with any of those songs we heard?
Thanks for the uplifting blog! :-D
