AND -- he blesses our socks off even when we aren't expecting it!
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
About 5 years ago, my father in law lost 207 pounds.
And yet -- that's not the answer to prayer.
Let me keep you in suspense and fast forward to today.
My husband and FIL were out in our back yard cleaning it up and laying paver stones. They were digging out some of the dirt and throwing it into the back of my husband's truck, when something shiny caught my FIL's eye.
He exclaimed: Is that a ring?
My husband said: No, I don't think so.
Then, my husband picked up the shiny object and said: Yes, it IS a ring!
My FIL said: That looks like MY wedding ring!
He took the ring and, sure enough! It was HIS RING ... that he lost OVER TWO YEARS AGO after loosing all his weight. He prayed, and prayed and prayed, but never found it.
Until today. Exactly three days after their 44th anniversary.
Talk about God blessing his socks off! And... giving new meaning to that wedding ring!
We have sat here scratching our heads trying to figure out HOW that ring got into the dirt in our back yard... and we can't figure it out... but it did. And God decided to reveal it today.
He does answer prayer. He does bless. He does.
"Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost."

It is Food Allergy Awareness Week. Read my latest allergy post: Kindergarten Orientation was Exciting
God is absolutely beyond amazing! How exciting when he chooses to reveal it to us in ways we can see.
What an incredible story!
Such a cool, cool story GiBee!!! That is awesome. Thanks for sharing, friend.
P.S. Love your new header . . . if it's new. I read you via my Google Reader so often that I haven't seen it. Makes me smile.
wow. Was that understated? I meant, WOW! :)
He does answer prayers at just the right time. I've been realizing that a lot lately.
