Hey, Wisconsin ... Guess What?!?

Avian Flu, better known as Bird Flu, will be arriving in your state! Today! Isn't that exciting?

Yeah, I thought you'd be all tickled pink about that! Apparently, Wisconsin has been selected as the place for researching select samples for the bird flu. And, where a pandemic would be monitored and even controlled! Cool, huh?

As you may have heard, birds are slowly making their way to Alaska from Asia ... so, in order to be one step ahead of, oh, I don't know ... INDONESIA ... birds are being tested and monitored even as we speak. And Wisconsin is the lucky state that will be spear-heading all the research. Woohooo WI!!!

I'm betting Jeana is questioning herself right now if her kids were around any birds, chickens, or ducks during her recent trip to Lauren's comfy home in WI!! (I sure hope she didn't serve you chicken, Jeana!)

But, don't worry. If any of the birds, eggs, or samples test positive for the flu in Wisconsin, Iowa get's to jump in and do more testing in order to make the final confirmation. Hey ... Iowa even gets to sound the alarm! Who could ask for more?

So, if any of you in Wisconsin, or even Iowa, homeschool... maybe you could plan a science field trip to one of the hot labs??? Yeah, maybe not.

This is GiBee, reporting live from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area... bringing you the latest news, because you want to know. And ... I want you to know. Now to you...

Have a glorious, bird flu free day in the Lord!

Well, I guess I won't be visiting those states this summer! I'm glad NC is a good place for Cancer research and not bird flu research. I don't want either, but at least cancer isn't contagious!!! Have a good one, Ace Reporter, GiBee!

Ok, you and kpjara have just made my morning. You CRACK ME UP!!! (Mostly because I LOVE commercial jingles and sing them ALL the time, much to the chagrin of my sweet husband!) Have a blessed Thursday.

I just try not to think about it. If I ignore it, it will go away. Won't it?

And the bird flu's death count is different from Washington DC's death toll... how?

I love how you've paired the pics from "The Birds" with this little story.

I love how the world is going all "chicken little" over this story! The "flap" being made over this story, makes me wanna "fly the coop". We shouldn't get to worried over all this. As my momma always said, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch." :-)

Oh No!!! Auggh!!! This movie is singlehandedly responsible for my insanely paranoid freakish behavior regarding birds. I still get nightmares of those white birds attacking poor Tippi Hedren.

Great job, Miss GiBee, over and out!!

Hmmm. I don't know whether to be concerned or not. I mean, all that jazz about mad cow disease didn't stop me from chowing down on some steak. I think the world will still go on if I don't obsess about it.

well - glad I don't work in those labs!

But on a serious note - I just say a man on the news last night that lost five family member to the avain flu. They showed him wailing by the grave. It is so tragic what is going on and terrifying.

It seriously makes me lose sleep.

Kim, you're hilarious... You need to do stand-up!

Flipflop -- the website is being developed even as we speak... it will probably be a while until it goes live, but I'll let you all know as soon as that day comes! And seeing that I am so computer illiterate and am constantly hitting my head against an "html-brick wall" -- it may be a few months!

Shalee -- there is a difference ... the bird flu death toll is a freak of science. The D.C. death toll is a science of freaks.

Jessica, thanks for visiting Kisses of Sunshine!

Janice -- For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline -- 2 Tim. 1:7

So, should Jeana be worried that after her kids had chicken for dinner on Saturday my daughter let them play with her lovebirds? Just wondering.
