It was a Chaunda kind-of night! Sort of.

Trust me when I say ... this post is not for the shy, private people who hate talking potty talk. So, if you're one of those ... or a man ... move along now. Fair warning has been given.

As you might remember, Hunter has been sick for the last two-ish weeks (off and on). First, he had a cold. Then it turned into an ear/sinus infection. Along the way, we've had out-of-town guests, family, and friends visiting, too. Many of whom were a wee bit sick. But, through it all, I managed to stay healthy. Until Thursday, that is!

Some how, some way, I have managed to come down with a sinus infection, sore throat, cough... etc. Now, I'm not sure who I could have gotten it from, because I've been around so many people in the last few weeks (yeah... I'm that popular -- hah!), but I share this with you, simply to lay the foundation that I'm sick. With a cough. A WICKED cough.

So, having said that ... I'll share with you my main point. I went to a Chonda Pierce concert last night. That woman can make even the saddest, un-flapably-un-laughable person laugh like they've never laughed before. And if you're not careful, you might even pee your pants... She can also throw the gospel in nice and strong-like, and before you know it ... WAM! You're being ministered to without having expected it!

I really enjoyed the concert tremendously, but something happened to me last night that is rather ... umm ... embarassing. And since there are only two or three of you that read my blog, I thought I'd share it with you. Now, mind you -- while I was at the Chonda concert, my personal experience had nothing to do directly with Chonda -- so to say -- although, in some round-about way -- it's her fault. I'm sure of it.

So, there I am. Coughing. And laughing. And coughing fiercely. And laughing hysterically. When it happened. You see where I'm going with this, right? Don't make me have to spell it out for you.

For heaven's sakes ... Yes, ladies (and what ever brave man is still with me) I coughed so hard, I peed leaked ... ehem ... well, it wasn't pretty.

All I have to say is ... yes, I enjoyed Chaunda, and thank you Jesus for feminine products that leave you feeling fresh, if you know what I mean. It could have been disastrous.

Sometimes, the bad after-affects of pushing out an almost 9 pound baby can last a while, you know what I mean?

Soooooo -- who's sharing a bed with me in Texas this October? Anyone? Anyone?

I have a feeling this may be held over my head for a while!

I'm so sorry you're sick! I was told I wasn't contagious, so don't blame me! Now if my doctor's a liar I'm sorry! I'm glad you REALLY enjoyed the Chonda Pierce show!

Hey, is it really weird that the song "You Are to Blame" by Mercy Me was playing while I read this post???

Heather -- LOL! Maybe it's God trying to send you a message! No -- I don't think it was you. I totally blame my little boy!!! Or maybe my mom. Or maybe the weirdo in the cube next to me that has been coughing and hacking all over us! Who knows?

Oh, so sorry you are sick. Don't you just hate it when those moments happen. I have a habit now of crossing my legs when I sneeze or cough or anything that will cause that to happen.
Hope you feel better soon!

Ugh... Sorry to hear that you are hacking up a lung! But seeing as how we have 2 months to go until the TX shindig, I'll bunk with you. But I think I'll bring a little drink to share with you, for medicinal purposes only of course... (Ahem.)

And it's been over 6 years since my last baby and I still have to watch it that I don't sneeze really hard! Kegel, baby! Kegel!

I can't believe nobody has taken you up on your offer. Come on people don't we have any good swimmers meeting in Texas!

I happened upon your blog from Sarah's (inthemidstofit)Aunt (A Chelsea Morning), I believe, after Lisa Whelchel referred me to Sarah's blog a few weeks ago. So I've been reading and enjoying several. I just wanted to comment that I love Chonda! I have her lastest CD in my car and play it all the time. I've seen her in concert twice.

Anyway, thanks for the read. I'll pop back occasionally.

It is too perfect that I just read on Carol's post at CWO that the word humor comes from a Latin word meaning "body fluids."

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. I hope you feel better soon.

Now that that's out of the way....BBBBBWWWWWAAAAAHHHHHHAAAAAHHHHHAAAAA! :) Your post made me laugh out loud. But, I'm laughing WITH you, not AT you. :)

I have a funny story for you.

I used to have a waterbed that had a slow leak. The leak never bothered me. I didn't weigh enough for it to leak much so I gave it little thought.

A girlfriend came to visit me and she shared my bed (my house was tiny and it was either share my bed or sleep on my uncomfortable couch).

Anyway, in the middle of the night, she woke up, feeling herself. She got out of bed to feel some more, a look of horror on her face. Little did she know that she had woken me up in the process.

I about choked trying to keep the laughter in as I realized that she thought she had wet the bed, when in reality she had been a victim of the waterbed slow leak! :)

I finally fessed up and we both had a good laugh! She made me patch the waterbed that weekend.

Sorry for hijacking your comment section. Your story just reminded me of that one. :)

I am SO glad to hear others have this problem. I try to remember kegel exercises but really who has time to concentrate on that when there are kids running around? Funny stuff...glad you enjoyed Chonda. I think she's hilarious!

Chonda can do that to ANYBODY!! But I can so relate to what you mean! I had a 9 pounder (and am 5'2"). They weighed him 3 times because they were in shock. (yeah,... tell me about it!:)) Somehow... we will just never be the same I'm afraid. At least I know I won't!

Sorry you are feeling under the weather!! Hope you are doing better soon!

I think this is a little more common than we mothers want to admit:) Coughing and laughing have done it for me too. Funny post.

Sorry to hear you are sick. I hope that you get better soon.

It sounds like despite that you were able to have a great night.

And, don't worry it happens to the best of us. I'm sure most mothers have been there.

Let's just be honest here... we've all had a little leakage once in a while!

Chonda is coming to our city in about a week. Hoping to go and check her out... isn't that just precious??
