Today is going to be a very busy day for me at work, and I probably won't have a free moment to get through all my favorite blogs ... so, if you don't see me loitering for the next few days, don't take it personally!
Also, if you could remember me in your prayers this week ... I have a nasty little (okay, big) crack in my tooth from biting down on a tiny piece of bone ... and now, I have to get a root canal done next week ... Wednesday afternoon. I'm such a big baby, and scardey cat of dentists that I haven't been to one in about 8 or 10 years!!! YIKES! Anyway, my anxiety level is extremely elevated, to say the least.
And there are also some not-so-nice issues going on here at work that have me, quite frankly, FREAKED OUT. My old boss ... the mean one that harassed me ... the one I filed a complaint against with Human Resources ... the one who I worked for and had three miscarriages due to stress ... the one who threatened me with my job ... the one that advertised my position the day my doctor put me on bedrest at 8 months pregnant ... the one that degrades and humiliates and yells and screams at his employees (me) is now coming up to the department I work in ... as the department HEAD.
I did go to my HR rep and told him that they needed to find a new place for me where I will NOT interact with him at all, and where he will NOT be my functional manager. We'll see what happens. Anyway, I'm freaking out about that, and I'm praying a lot that God will intervene. At least I'm finding it entertaining to watch HR scramble!
Finally -- Don't forget to head out to Everyday Mommy and weigh in on her QUESTION OF THE WEEK!
So, friends, have a wonderful, blessed day in the Lord, and I'll catch up with y'all in the next few days, 'kay? (I might have a free moment here or there today ... we'll see)

hey, good luck with that manager. I understand sometimes God uses people to help build our character, but that person is off his rocker
I'm praying for you girl! I know that God is with you! And don't worry, I understand about the work thing!
Major prayers for the work issue...relax and remember OUR GOD IS GREATER! Review God's promises for you...His beloved child...and with regards to the dentist, do NOT, I repeat DO NOT 'bite the bullet'...k? Ask for gas...take a stuffed animal to squeeze...for the anxiety, not the pain silly...
Remember to breath my friend.
I'm praying for you my friend! May God's grace be extended to you in the work issue. I know He will work to your benefit. Praying for your dentist trip, too. Will it help if I tell you I had one, too, and had myself all worked up and then it wasn't as bad as I let my imagination build it up to be?
Will a hug help? 'Kay here's one then. {{{{Hug}}}}
I too will be praying for you. Trust...remember...trust that God will take care of you and not give you more han you can handle, both at the dentist and at work! Hope a new department pops up for you!
Deep breaths, girl deep breaths!
I will be praying for your root canal.....and your work situation! God Bless you!
And please do stop by when you can---I've started a PARTY for Dawn on my blog--her son returned home! God hears our prayers...and he answers them! Worthy of a party!
Diane
{{{{HUGS}}}} and prayers are headed your way. Love ya!
I hope you have a very calm rest of the week. Deep breaths....
Wow! You must really be doing something good for satan to be executing such an attack on you! I'll be lifting you in prayer... I've been in both places in my life and know how the stress can sometimes be overwhelming. Remember to find "peace" in the Master and know that you are safely tucked under His wings. Praying for you!!!
Sending prayers your way for both the dentist visit and the pending arrival of your old nasty boss!
GiBee, I am going to pray for you. I'm going to pray that God will be glorified through whatever happens in your work situation. I think I know what YOU would like to see happen. I'm going to trust that His will be done.
He's not going to let anything happen that He's not willing to help you through. I trust that with all my heart.
Root canal encouragement: I had one two years ago and I can honestly testify that it was easier than some filling replacements I've had done. I took one Tylenol PM before the procedure and that also helped me to stay relaxed. (one doesn't put me to sleep, etc, but it might not be a good choice for you!) I've not needed to have a crown placed over that tooth and I'm thankful. You will be in my prayers next Wed.!!
I found you through my dear pal Everydaymommy~~God bless!!C
oh my gosh, i just want to beat him with a stick clear out of your department.
nevermind. i mean, "praying!"
(and, "repenting!")
No!!! Not Him again!
Girl, I'm so PRAYING!!!!!
Hi GiBee...I found you through Lauren's and just wanted to add that I will be praying for you. Have a wonderful Friday.
I'm the same way about the dentist, so I completely sympathize!! Hopefully they'll gas you up and you won't feel a thing!
So, so sorry about the boss situation. I had a boss that I couldn't stand for quite awhile who made my life miserable, and lo and behold, when I came back from maternity leave, she was GONE and in her place was someone who I can work well with. Hopefully they can help you out so you don't have to work with evil boss man! I'm praying for both situations for you!!
Wow, you have gone through a lot with that boss. That is awful! I hope everything works out for you. Remember that you are the apple of God's eye. He will take care of you. :)
You are understandably freaked out, girl! That is terrible- and I will certainly be praying for you in that matter.
I'm sorry to hear you're so stressed out. I hate that you're having to deal with all of that right now. I'll be praying that somehow you won't have to work with that jerk at all!!
You are definately in my prayers. I'm sure everything will work out!
Just checking in. How are you doing?
Lord be with Gibee and give her strength and let YOUR spirit permeate her whole being!
God bless her and keep her today as every day and let her know we are all praying for her daily!
