Cardboard Testimonies

Edited to add: We watched this right after the sermon, and the congregation was quiet as each person reflected on their own thoughts... but I just wanted to jump up, pump both fists in the air, and give a Holy Shout-out for so many of the people sharing their testimony ... The Meth Addict, the Woman with MS, the Couple that had 3 stillborn babies ... How about you???

These past few weeks, my Pastor has been teaching on Stewardship. Yesterday, he shared a video with the congregation that left me blubbering like an idiot.

I encourage you to take a moment and watch the video... and be sure you try to read each sign -- I'm sure your own testimony will be shared at some point!

So, what does your cardboard testimony look like??

This is what my cardboard testimony would look like:

GiBee,
Wow, after watching that I am sitting here with tears and snot running down my face! This was an amazing video. It really encourages us to stop in this crazy spinning world and take a look at our selves. I love it!

I posted the video, too. Even watching the other church's versions (some not as polished) I cried.

You'll have to read my post to see what I got out of it on Sunday. But it was very exciting for me to know that God sees us for our potential.

Our pastor just finished a 4 week series on stewardship! I'm going to watch the video when I can have a quiet moment to myself.

I read your post about what I want you to know at Shannon's. One thing a friend said to me after infertility and two miscarriages is that she knew her husband loved her, but she wondered if he secretely wished he had married someone else because he would have had a tribe by then. It absolutely broke my heart to hear her say that and I'll never forget the pain in her eyes as she said it.

We watched this video a few weeks ago in church also. Amazing. There was hardly a dry eye in the house! So cool!

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
